about us

how we started

After my mother passed away I felt I wanted to honour her memory by installing a yahrzeit plaque at my own shule. Unfortunately at that stage my shule did not have a memorial board. There was only one solution and that was to build a memorial board. As a past member of a shule committee, I know how many responsibilities fall on the shoulders of those that volunteer their time to a shule. I therefore set out to build a board that can be programmed to switch plaques on and off for all yahrzeit and yizkor dates.

I have spent many hours not only designing and building prototypes and the first memorial board, but also sourcing the electronic hardware, commissioning the software and programming the board to switch on and off, according to the lunar calendar.

At this point my boards have been operational for over a year and I am proud to have been able to create a means of fundraising for my shule as well as providing a place for fellow congregants to memorialise their loved ones. I am the proud recipient of letters of recommendation from Rabbis and congregants who have benefited from and support this product.
